Geno’s transforms into ‘Steakquons’ to celebrate Eagles’ RB Madden cover feature
One of Philadelphia’s fan-favorite eateries showed their support to one of Philadelphia favorite athlete’s yesterday in south Philly.
Geno’s steaks transformed their store to ‘Steakquons’, commemorating the Eagle’s running back for Gracing the cover of Madden 26.

The Madden cover is one of the most iconic honors in football. This is only the second time that an Eagles player has been pictured on the cover, joining Eagles Hall of Fame quarterback Donovan McNabb, who graced the front of Madden 2006.
“It’s something you dream about as a kid. There’s a lot of accolades you want in your football career, and Madden’s definitely one of them,” Barkley said.
Barkley penned a short thank you to his followers on social media before going to see the fans in Philadelphia.
“Honored to be on the cover of @EAMaddenNFL. Huge thank you to all the fans showing love and support, especially my Philly family! Hope you all enjoy the game! Fly Eagles Fly”
Barkley pulled up to South Philly with the Eagles’ ‘infamous’ chief security officer ‘Big Dave’, to shake hands, kiss babies, and serve up Philly’s favorite sandwich!
Sixers’ play-by-play announcer Kate Scott will be the voice of Madden 26. It’s the second year she’s had a voice-over role in the Madden series.
“This is the bestselling sports video game ever in the United States, and the fact that they had never had a woman before, and then that I get to be the first one, I’m getting goosebumps thinking about it all over again,” said Scott.
“To have myself and to have Kate, hopefully we are just inspiring a lot of kids in Philadelphia and a lot of kids all over the world,” Barkley said.
