Police arrest man who crashed into police vehicle after the Eagles playoff win.
According to police, officials have charged Thomas Herrschaft, 45, from Sewell, NJ, with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, causing a crash that involved death or injury, driving without a license and other offenses, after he allegedly crashed into a police cruiser on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025.
Footage details a seemingly impaired Herrschaft traveling in reverse at a high speed. Herrschaft slammed into a police vehicle, before surrendering. Herrschaft was visibly under the influenced as he seemed to fall out of the car before being apprehended by authorities.
As people speculate the reason for this incident, “Must be a Rams fan” flooded the comments sections. Almost positive the pun was intended.Â
“Did he think he was in drive? I don’t understand how you get in a car then put your foot on the gas full force to reverse like that?” one user wrote.
“I love philly cops! They dont wait for you to get out a the car, they pull you out themselves! — Thank you for your service, police officers EVERYWHERE!” commented another user.
An officer inside that vehicle, who was assigned to the traffic division, was injured in this incident, police officials said. The officer was taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated and released.

According to sources, Herrschaft is in police custody and his bail has been set at $10,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 19, 2025.
